The National Bank of Ukraine by its Resolution No. 82 “On Making Amendments to Resolution No. 410 dated 13 December 2016” permitted Ukrainian banks to provide UAH denominated loans secured by foreign currency deposits.

The Resolution comes into force on 30 August 2017. So far, the banks were prohibited to provide UAH denominated loans against foreign currency deposits pursuant to express prohibition that existed in Resolutions of the National Bank of Ukraine since 3 March 2015. Without a doubt, such novelty will improve bank lending in Ukraine.
